Straight answers to what backers ask most — shipping, battery, compatibility, and everything in between.
The things backers ask us most.
Your ring
When will KiWear Ring ship?
The campaign goes live on Kickstarter in 2026. Once funded, we move straight into production on our own end-to-end manufacturing line, and ship in the order backers joined. Every backer gets a clear timeline and regular updates.
Which devices does it work with?
KiWear Ring controls your phone, tablet, TV, projector, computer, car screen, smart speaker and audio glasses — across both iOS and Android. It's a controller for the screens already in your life, not a walled garden.
Is it really waterproof?
Yes. Wear it in the pool, the shower, the kitchen sink and the rain. It's waterproof and sweatproof by design — you never take it off, so it never has to come off.
How long does the battery last, and how do I charge it?
All-day battery, charged in its case. Because there's no screen and no lights to power, the ring spends its energy on sensing and control — not on glowing at you.
Do I have to learn the gestures?
No. The gestures are movements your hand already makes — a twist, a tap, a flick. There's nothing to memorize and nothing to look at; the companion app walks you through it in minutes, and then it just becomes how you live.
What happens to my health and gesture data?
Your data is yours. Health metrics and gesture activity are stored securely, and you stay in control of what's shared. We don't build the product by selling you.
How is this different from other smart rings?
Most smart rings listen to your body. KiWear Ring is a controller — it lets the world listen to your finger. Health tracking is the floor; multi-device control is the point.
The bigger bet
What am I actually backing?
More than a ring. KiWear is built on one belief — that the hand becomes the way we control AI and the connected world around us, the way touch became the way we used phones. Backing us puts that bet into production. The Ring is where it starts, not where it ends.
Is KiWear a one-ring company?
No. We're a hand-interaction company. The Ring is our first device; the platform underneath it — hand-tracking input, spatial control, haptic feedback — is meant to carry a family of products over time. You're backing the first chapter of a roadmap, not a single gadget.
Will my ring keep getting better after I get it?
That's the plan. Gestures, supported devices and features arrive through the companion app, so the ring on your finger grows without you buying new hardware. The bet only pays off if early backers' rings get better with us — so they will.
How will early backers shape what comes next?
You're first, and we treat it that way. Backers get the build-in-public updates, a direct line to tell us which gestures and devices matter, and first access to whatever ships next. The people who believe early help decide where KiWear goes.
Why Kickstarter — and what if it doesn't fund?
We chose Kickstarter to build this in the open, with the people who want it, instead of behind closed doors. It's all-or-nothing: if the campaign doesn't reach its goal, no backer is charged. When it does, you're not pre-ordering a product — you're starting a company's first product with us.
